Ok, just finished reading the bios for the new Big Brother characters. Who the heck writes these things anyway??? One woman was described as a "blonde bombshell" and another one as a "firecracker". Good grief, that just sounds like something my dad would've said back in the 1950's! Even he knows that those are totally politically incorrect adjectives in today's society!
This season the Big Brother cast is a bit more diverse (but not much) than it was during the writer's strike. They got a lot of complaints then because most everybody was the same age & race.
Now they've got a 75 year old man and a woman in her 50's. The cast is also a bit more ethnically diverse, with one woman claiming to have given birth 4 months ago to "a medical oddity - twins, one black and one white". Umm... ok..... what an odd thing for a mother to say! It got her on the show though, so hmm...
We usually like "root for" a houseguest who's from our state, but this season the oguy from here sounds like a real jerk! We shall see.
Have you read or heard anything about the cast? Any of them live near you?
If you're inclined to say "oh for heaven sakes, you have a Master's Degree, surely there's something better for you to do with your time!" just keep it to yourself. I know that already, but I'm gonna watch it anyway. So there! (pout face like a 3 year old) Ya know, sometimes you've gotta take your fun where you can find it, and I choose to find it in the Big Brother House.

Big Brother 10
The new Big Brother show begins this Sunday night! DH & I have watched every season since it began. The first summer it was on it aired 3 times a week, & we didn't miss an episode! Of course we were newlyweds, & it was fun snuggling up on the couch to watch it.
Now, many "houseguests" later, we're still hooked. Some seasons have been good, some stupid, and the last one was just plain sleazy but we still watched! After all, every season but one was aired in the summer when there's nothing else on & it's too hot to be out running around. (I hear you Texas girls laughing at me saying it's hot up here, but hey, hot is relative!)
Big Brother remains one of the shows DH & I like to watch together, so it's time to stock up on popcorn and get ready for the fun!

Baby news! (errr.. fetus news?) anyway, COOL NEWS!
THIS JUST IN ... DD's 4th baby, due 18th, is a BOY!!! She had a 3-D ultrasound today. I can't wait to see the photos & video!! When the ultrasound tech announced that it's a boy, the youngest of the baby-to-be's 3 sisters said "but I don't want a boy, I want a girl!".
The tech asked why... 3 yr. old little Bri said "BECAUSE I DON'T WANT SPIDERMAN STUFF ALL OVER MY HOUSE!" An hour or so later she was bragging to the waitress that she was going to have a little brother, so sounds like she's going to keep him after all. LOL!
The 2 older girls were hoping for a boy all along. When told (by phone since they're visiting their other granny) the oldest, little Ms. A. said "is it REALLY a boy??" and the middle, little Ms. W. said simply "YAHOOOOO!"
My feelings exactly! :-)
(not because it's a boy, but because it is healthy... although this will make the blue sweater I started knitting a few weeks ago go very nicely! :-) I just had a feeling that it was a boy. Nana's intuition?!)
