My Parents are Coming!

My husband just left to go get my parents & bring them up here for Thanksgiving. I haven't seen them since Christmas! This is the longest we've ever gone without seeing each other. I'm excited about seeing them & a little anxious about how they'll be... my sister (who had them at her house for 3 weeks recently) said they're showing signs of aging quite a bit with memory, hearing, and some mobility problems. However they are though I'm sure we'll have fun just being together.

Thanks girls! We had a really good visit. Other than dad having a difficult time getting up the (one) step into our house, I think my parents were both getting around as well as they were on our last visit. That was a relief!

Mentally they both are still sharp & their hearing didn't seem any worse than it was on our last visit. We enjoyed having them here. Pollyanna & Garcia both snuggled up with my mom almost instantly & she LOVED that. Garcia tried to bond with Dad but he doesn't really like "house dogs" so he ignored him. :-(

Thanksgiving went great! We all went to my son's where we were joined by his wife's parents. Both her dad and mine are BIG talkers so it was pretty entertaining listening to them... sort of like a "Battle of the Bands" but with talking instead of singing. LOL The food was delicious & everyone really enjoyed the day.

Hi Becky!!! I am so glad you get to spend some time with your parents.
I think we really need to try to make a visit work out. I will be going to Louisville in a couple of weeks to help my brother out when his dear wife has surgery.
