If the internet and television were to vanish tonight, I wonder how much more productive we would all be? Also, have to wonder if the divorce rate might go down since people would communicate more with their spouses. Hmm...

Well, without the Internet I wouldn't even have met my hubby, so I'm a little biased. However, I really think that if TV and the Internet did not exist, people could find other ways to "waste" time.
I know for a fact I'd go stir crazy. Just this afternoon my own computer started acting weird and I am taking the proper precautions to avoid a crash. While my scanning went on, I found myself doing laundry and cleaning the kitchen! WTH?! I promptly snapped out of it when I revved up my hubby's mac. ;~)
Wow, I know that without the internet my job would be a LOT more boring and the day would go by really slow.
