People from your Past

I saw this quote and kind of liked it - makes you stop & think.

There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore, and who always will. So don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.

Oh, I like that one. I need it, lately. I have been bummed about a friend, we were best friends last year, when we were both at KU. She finished her program in a year and moved away. She said, "I hope we do whatever it takes to stay in touch," and I remember thinking, "I wasn't worried about that at all! Should I be?"

Her dad died from cancer a couple of years ago. When my mom was diagnosed, I told her--and I haven't heard from her since. I don't know if it scares her, bothers her, or if she knows my Mom is better now, and that causes conflict, or if she is just the kind of person who will be a good friend when they're close and then move on, ya know?

Sorry for the book, I"m all hyped on caffeine. LOL

I'm glad you all liked it too! :-)

Ann, I hope your friend is able to work through the fact that her dad didn't make it but your mom did.

It is sad when we lose touch with people after moving, but it happens an awful lot. I guess we just have to enjoy them while we have them.. live for the moment & all that (rolling eyes) (((hugs)))
